How to get over rejection please help please?

I'm a 13 year old boy and me and my friends were at semi formal and my friend Everett had a date to it with my friend Melissa and my uses-to-be-friend-until-last-night Emmalyn had a date with my friend Cody. I had no date and was hanging out with Everett and said "I kinda still like Emmalyn a little" he said "I know" and asked Emmalyn to dance with me and she said "No way!" "I would dance with Everett and that's saying something". I played it off like "Yeah no way in hell" but i wasn't okay. i went to a table and told some people that i didn't know "REJECTION BY YOUR BEST FRIEND ISN'T FUN!!!" and started to cry. I went into the bathroom to cry and saw Matt Spinner and he got rejected by his own date! he said "come here man" and we hugged. I went back out into the cafeteria and Everett told Emmalyn "Please dance with Bobby!" and she still said "No not in a million years!" and he said "But you had him in tears weeping!" "In tears?" and i said "Yeah wouldn't be the first time!" and she said "WELL BOBBY YOU TOLD ME A MILLION TIMES THAT YOU DON'T LIKE ME!!!" and at the end of the dance i told her she looked pretty which she did and she said "Thanks i'm still not dancing with you" I woke up this morning and cried a little and then realized i was still alive and let out a long sigh. She was my first real crush! the one who gave me stomach aches the one who made my hands jitter. I've never asked a girl out or to dance or anything! this was my first time and she was my friend so that made rejection even tougher!
